Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in Berlin
Upon arrival in Berlin, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. There will be time to relax before meeting your fellow travelers and Tour Director for an orientation meeting with welcome drink. (WD)
Day 2
Berlin
This morning's sightseeing tour features views of the impressive Reichstag and the lovely Schloss Charlottenburg. Continue through the city to see famous sights such as the State Opera, Schiller Theater, and Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. The afternoon is free to explore this once-divided city at your own pace. Day 3
To Prague
After breakfast, we travel to Dresden, the beautiful Baroque city in Saxony. Enjoy an orientation tour, including views of the Zwinger Palace and Semper Opera House. Then continue on to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. (B)
Day 4
Prague
After breakfast, we cross the Vltava River to visit the Royal Castle of Hradcany, and visit the Cathedral of St. Vitus, the Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica, and the Golden Lane with the Daliborka Tower. Then, enjoy a panoramic tour of the Old Town Square, the famous Astronomical Clock, the Jewish Quarter, St. Nicholas Church, Charles Bridge and more. The remainder of the day is at leisure. (B)
Day 5
To Vienna
Travel by motorcoach to Vienna, the “City of Waltz.” Upon arrival, enjoy free time to begin exploring the city's rich culture, architecture, and cuisine. (B)
Day 6
Vienna
Start the day with visits to St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the Hofburg Palace and then to view Belvedere Palace, the Prater amusement park, and the UN buildings. The afternoon is free for personal exploration. (B)
Day 7
To Budapest
Depart for Budapest, with stops in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, and Esztergom along the way. Dinner at your hotel upon arrival. (B, D)
Day 8
Budapest
Your sightseeing tour includes views of the Parliament, Royal Palace, Castle Hill area, Fisherman’s Bastion, Matthias Church, Heroes' Square, and Gellért Hill with its Citadel. The afternoon is free to explore the "Paris of the East"—shop along Váci Utca, sample apple strudel, sip Hungarian wine. (B)
Day 9
Depart Budapest
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport. (B)
