Special Accommodation (Dietary, Mobility, etc.)
Please be as specific as you feel comfortable being about how we can best accommodate what you may need so we can make sure to provide the best experience possible. If the “Restrictions” section is left blank, we assume you do not need any accessibility accommodations or have any dietary requirements for this tour. If you require mobility assistance, you must travel with a partner who is able to assist you. If you require a service animal, you must comply with ADA requirements for service animals. If you make a special request within 2 weeks of departure, we will do our best to accommodate but cannot guarantee we'll have what you need.
Special Seating (Motorcoach)
Reserved seating at the front of the coach is designated for passengers with severe motion sickness, and those with significant physical limitations or medically necessary mobility accommodations. We kindly ask that these seats be reserved only for those with a genuine need, as misuse can impact fellow travelers who truly depend on them. Reserved seats are for 1 guest only, please do not put personal belongings on the seat next to you as a way to “save” it for others. Tour staff may reassign seating at their discretion if necessary. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Smoking / Allergies
There is no smoking on the motorcoach and we ask that you only use the designated areas for smoking at the hotel property. Please consider your fellow passengers and their allergies when you apply your perfume/aftershave.
Pre-Tour Health Screening
If you or any of your travel companions feel ill while traveling, please inform your tour director immediately. This is relevant not only for the more common Covid-19 symptoms of runny nose, congestion, fever, and fatigue, but also for other illnesses which may be prevalent while traveling. If you do feel sick while on tour, we will ask you to wear a facemask so as not to spread the illness to others.
Political Statements
We strive for cordial travel, no matter one's beliefs. While we appreciate your right to voice support of politics, ideas, and persons, we ask that you leave the political statements, slogans, buttons, shirts, hats, etc. at home.
Medical Devices
We have room in the baggage bay of the motorcoach for walkers, CPAP and oxygen machines. However, you must handle these devices on your own. Our staff and hotel staff cannot be responsible for getting these items to/from your hotel room.
Emergency Information
Please carry on your person a list of medications that you are taking and an emergency contact phone number while you are traveling. We suggest making a copy of the itinerary and provide it to a friend or family member. If you become ill on tour, you will be removed from the tour to isolate. You will have to depart the tour at your own expense and use your insurance to take care of yourself.
Travel is about respecting people, places, and cultures
Tourism is about mutual understanding and respect between peoples and societies. The resources involved in tourism belong to the common heritage of human beings, and we have a duty to protect these vulnerable resources for future generations. Travelers are expected to respect others. This includes other travelers, Custom Holidays staff, third-party service providers, and the local people and cultures in the destinations they visit. When travelling, keep the following in mind: Be aware of your own cultural values, biases, and how they impact your judgment of others. You do not have to agree with the opinions or beliefs of others but you must be respectful of them. Please use headphones when listening to personal media during travel. Do not use speakerphone when making personal phone calls in public or during travel. Be on time for departures. Bring your “Happy” attitude and remain flexible. Oftentimes, there are things that change or don't go according to plan - especially in travel. Respect the guide and driver and follow their instructions. While traveling, we kindly ask that guests sit back, relax, and leave the navigation to the team—no need to shout out directions. Your comfort and safety are our top priority! Be polite to servers, ushers and other service personnel. Custom Holidays works hard to create tours that a diverse group of people will enjoy. If your experience is less than satisfactory, please discuss it with the guide at the appropriate time during the tour. Many times, the guide can correct a situation. We hope that your experience with Custom Holidays will create lifetime memories.
