Grand Rapids Lantern Festival
Tour Overview
Experience a magical overnight getaway to Grand Rapids, where lights, art, and gardens come together for a memorable Michigan escape.
As evening falls, the John Ball Zoo Lantern Festival transforms the zoo with dazzling illuminated displays. Discover larger-than-life animals, glowing landscapes, and imaginative scenes throughout the grounds. Enjoy dinner before the festival, then spend the night at Embassy Suites Grand Rapids Downtown in a double queen room.
The next day, explore Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park on a private guided tram tour, learning about its gardens, sculptures, and seasonal highlights. Discover TROLLS: A Field Study, an outdoor exhibition featuring 12 giant troll sculptures by Danish artist Thomas Dambo. Created from reclaimed and recycled materials, these whimsical figures invite you to explore and see nature from a new perspective.
After lunch at the gardens, finish the getaway with a tasting and time to shop at St. Julian Winery before the journey home.
